We have forgotten how to practice proper tech-etiquette and we have been inadvertently practicing social distancing long before it was ever required. As the pandemic became more serious, gentle encouragement quickly turned into demands. This journey is not an easy one, and it is an ongoing learning process that will come with various mistakes. My professors have offered empty platitudes. Something this pandemic has taught me is that I want to live in a world where mental illness receives more support and isn’t so taboo and controversial. Now is a perfect time for us to look at the society we have become and how we incurred a different kind of pandemic long before the one we currently face.
